Epitalon (also referred to as Epithalon) is a laboratory-synthesised tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) based on peptide sequences associated with pineal gland signaling. Experimental research suggests it may interact with pathways involved in telomere maintenance, redox balance, and circadian regulation through effects on neuroendocrine peptide signaling. Epitalon is primarily used in scientific studies exploring mechanisms of cellular aging, epigenetic modulation, and regulatory peptide activity within the neuroendocrine system. It has been studied for its effects on increasing telomere length.
